I fail to understand the logic behind the idea of marriage.
So, you have your friends - the people you care about, the people you'd rather be around rather than anyone else, the people you trust and who trust you. And you have your best friends - who are like, the ultimate friends, the people you can rely upon no matter what; the people you really connect with; the people you love more than anyone else except maybe your family. And then... you've got a spouse. And the only difference between this spouse and your friends is that the spouse can only be one gender (if you're Conservative or religious), and you have sex with them, and you might have kids with them someday. Well, I don't want kids, and the only reason everyone isn't fucking everyone is because of STIs and religion, so remind me what the point of marriage is again?
